Every couple of years we get some major updates and improvements to at least a few different makes and models of trucks. If you’ve been looking forward to finding out what improvements you can expect in 2025, you’re in the right place!
Let’s take a closer look at 2025 RAM truck improvements, as well as any lift kits that are planning improvements in their 2025 releases.
Of course, since we’re still a ways out from those official releases, there is every possibility that there may be changes between now and then. As we get closer to the official release of these vehicles and lift kits, we may get more details about them to drum up more excitement for the release. And, as always, sometimes manufacturers realize they can do a little more when they are in the process of creating and testing their vehicles, so last-minute additions (or subtractions) to the designs are always possible.
Ready? Let’s go!
2025 Lifted Truck Updates
We’re going to focus on RAM-lifted trucks for this update, and what you can expect from the new 2025 RAM.
2025 RAM 1500
The RAM we know the most about, by far, is the 2025 RAM 1500. That’s because of a leaked PDF giving more details about the anticipated 2025 RAM 1500. Of course, the leak was caught relatively quickly, and searching for the VIN, which used to give the PDF information about the new model, not leads to an Unsupported Vin message on Dodge’s site.
All of this is pretty standard for an accidental release ahead of schedule, but the truck community has still learned a lot of information about the truck in question. So, here’s what we know:
Powertrain: Let’s cut right to the meat of the leak, the powertrain. The biggest news about the 2025 RAM 1500 Tungsten is that it is being loaded with a powerful powertrain. It’s going to be loaded with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine.
If that sounds familiar, it’s because this same engine is already loaded in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, so we have a pretty good sense of its performance and power.
503 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque.
That is a lot of power and versatility. It’s also huge when you’re talking lifted trucks because it opens the door to more rugged off-roading backcountry uses of the vehicle. It’s also a fantastic option for working vehicles that need to have power, acceleration, and hauling capacity all in one vehicle.
It’s also a significant improvement over the existing RAM 1500 Limited, which offers 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque from its 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.
However, it’s also anticipated that consumers will have a wider selection of powertrains in the 2025 RAM 1500 since lower trims have the option to use other powertrains so you can match the performance of the vehicle with your performance needs.
Speaking of trim levels:
Tungsten Trim Returns!
The Tungsten trim has been missing from the RAM 1500 lineup for a while now, and it’s nice to see the return of the trim level. Why?
The Tungsten trim level has always sat nicely between the Limited and TRX levels, both in terms of equipment, power, and price. Frankly, having this trim helps more people access the premium performance lifted truck owners are looking for.
Looks And Redesign
There are also rumors going around that the RAM 1500 is going to have some relatively subtle design differences when it comes to the headlights, bumpers, and other minor differences.
Those may or may not be final, but it’s a good sign that there are reports of disguised prototypes getting real-road testing in public.
Of course, the fact that this model can be disguised for road testing means that it’s not going to be a huge change from the existing look.
Interior Details And Functions
The details inside the cab have gotten more and more important when it comes to lifted trucks (and basically all vehicles) these days. Premium sound, wireless device charging, a panoramic sunroof, improved interior lighting options, and advanced driver assistance systems are just a few of the features we can expect from the 2025 RAM 1500.
Of course, like most vehicles, the exact interior details will depend on your trim level, but there is a lot to look forward to with this new release.
We’ll be keeping an eye out for, and looking for more information about other 2025 lifted trucks as more information is released.
What To Expect From Lifted Truck Kits In 2025
We don’t have concrete details about what we can expect from lift kits in 2025. However, we can make some educated guess. Towing capacity, shock absorption, and ground clearance are three of the most important benefits of having a lifted vehicle, and we’ll expect lift kits in 2025 to improve on all three.
Given the importance of fuel efficiency in the modern day and age, we also wouldn’t be surprised to see lift kits that really capitalize on the ability of a lift to improve your truck’s MPG.
Last but not least, lift kits can help cut down on your vehicle’s per-mile wear and tear and improve the life of the truck. Kit companies are always looking to improve the performance of their kits in this metric since long-lasting trucks are a point of pride in the community.
