American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) started in 1997 as a project in a senior capstone class. The founder of AEV centered a business plan on the idea that a company should build long-wheelbase Wranglers. The company was able to expand from a one-man shop to a company with an engineering and design team capable of producing accessories.
AEV has been providing the Jeep Wrangler aftermarket accessories for more than 15 years; recently they have expanded to include Dodge RAM Trucks in their conversions. Their specialty is in creating off-road accessories, such as those seen in the JK Wrangler series and the new Dodge RAM Prospector; custom engineered suspensions, bumpers, and intakes work together to make the AEV converted vehicles a turnkey lifted Jeep and truck solution.
AEV lifted Jeeps can be found as the popular choice across the United States. Founded in Montana, AEV’s R&D and engineering continues to have a presence in the area, testing vehicles in the rugged terrain in their own backyard. However, the main office and warehouse moved to Detroit in 2007, the same year the JK series was released.
